Job summary

Daracon Group in Sydney (Auburn) is seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor. You will report to the Survey Manager and work across civil construction projects in the Sydney region, including major transport and infrastructure works.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Surveying, a Sydney base, willingness to work away from home, and a minimum of five years' experience with machine guidance modelling using Trimble and Topcon systems.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Surveying or a related discipline.
• Based in the Sydney region and willing to work away from home when required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Engineering Surveyor on civil construction projects.
• Experience with machine guidance modelling, incl. Trimble and Topcon systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate survey setout for projects.
• Complete conformance and as-executed surveys and deliver reports/drawings.
• Provide end of month quantities for projects.
• Verify project designs and prepare data for field setout & machine guidance.
• Actively contribute to safety and quality assurance.

Daracon are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our team based out of our Sydney office in Auburn. This opportunity will have you reporting directly to our Survey Manager and see you working across a wide variety of Civil Construction Projects in the Sydney Region, such as major transport projects, small- and large-scale subdivisions and intricate civil projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate survey setout for projects

• Provide projects with end of month quantities
• Verify project designs and prepare data for field setout & machine guidance
• Actively contribute to safety and quality assurance

To be considered for this role you will:

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Surveying or a related discipline
• Be based in the Sydney region, while also willing to work away from home when required
• Have proven experience working as an Engineering Surveyor on civil construction projects, with a strong focus on structures and infrastructure works
• Have a minimum of 5 years' experience
• Have experience with machine guidance modelling, including Trimble and Topcon systems
• Work collaboratively with project teams to achieve key milestones and deliver project outcomes
• Have confidence in your decision-making ability, problem solve and act accordingly
• Set a positive example through safe behaviours and strong commitment to workplace health and safety
