Project Urban is seeking a Surveyor (Graduate/Associate/Registered) for its Sunshine Coast team. The role spans field and office work, including cadastral and topographic surveys, plan preparation, and interpretation of survey documentation.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, this full-time position offers exposure to diverse development projects and collaboration with planning, design and project teams.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland as an associate, graduate or full Surveyor, or the capability to be registered.
• Tertiary qualifications in Surveying.
• Strong technical surveying skills and experience with Trimble survey equipment (Total Stations, GNSS).
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D is advantageous.
• Understanding of land development, construction and Queensland surveying standards.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cadastral surveys (under supervision).
• Conduct topographic surveys from residential to large development sites.
• Prepare accurate survey plans, reports and documentation.
• Interpret design drawings and survey documentation.
• Collaborate with planners, project managers and other disciplines.
• Liaise with clients, other consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and safety.

Surveyor (Graduate/Associate/Registered) | Sunshine Coast

Project Urban is growing, and we’re looking for a Surveyor to join our Sunshine Coast team.

Project Urban is a multidisciplinary development consultancy providing Surveying, Town Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Project Management and Liquor Licensing services across the Sunshine Coast and broader South-East Queensland.

This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to work across a diverse range of development projects alongside our experienced planning, design and project teams.

The Role

As part of our Surveying team, you’ll be involved in a variety of field and office-based work, including:

• Cadastral Surveys (with suitable registration, under supervision).
• Topographic Surveys (from residential to large-scale development sites).
• Preparation of accurate survey plans, reports and documentation.
• Interpretation of design drawings and survey documentation.
• Collaboration with planners, project managers and other disciplines.
• Liaising with clients, other consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and safety.

The role is based on a standard 38-Hour Week plus overtime, with a company vehicle and phone to be provided.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland as an associate, graduate or full Surveyor registration status, or the capability to be registered.
• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Surveying.
• Strong technical surveying skills and experience with Trimble survey equipment preferred, including Total Stations and GNSS.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D drafting software advantageous.
• An understanding of land development, construction and Queensland Surveying standards.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Full Australian Working Rights required.
