Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd is expanding operations in Far North Queensland. You will safely operate an HC vehicle to complete daily pick-ups and deliveries, load and unload freight, and ensure on-time, damage-free deliveries while following all road transport rules and company procedures.

Applicants should hold a current HC licence and have experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations, with a proven safe driving record.

Qualifications

• Current HC Licence is required.
• Experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations.
• Safe driving record with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Solid knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements.
• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic proof of delivery systems.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence
• Demonstrated experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations
• Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements
• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system
• A reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

As part of the recruitment process, we’ll be running Assessment Days that include a face-to-face interview and safety assessments. If successful, you’ll also need to complete a pre-employment medical, including a functional capacity assessment, drug and alcohol screen, and audio review.
