Job summary

Lindsay Australia Group in Bowen, Far North Queensland, is hiring an HC professional to operate daily pick-up and delivery runs, ensuring freight is loaded, transported and delivered on time. You’ll work with a supportive team across our expanding network and follow CoR and fatigue management rules.

You’ll hold a current HC licence, have experience in general freight, and showcase strong safety, communication and independent work ethic.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence.
• Experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations.
• Safe driving record with strong safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of CoR and fatigue management requirements.
• Ability to load, unload and secure freight.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HC vehicle for daily pick-up and delivery runs.
• Deliver freight on time and without damage.
• Load, unload and secure freight.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Follow road transport legislation, fatigue management and company procedures.
• Complete delivery documentation and electronic records.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle.
• Work with the operations team to deliver excellent service.

• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system
• A reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
