Job summary

Lindsay Australia in Mareeba, Queensland, is seeking experienced heavy vehicle drivers to join our refrigerated transport team. You will operate tug tractors, reverse B-doubles and singles, and deliver chilled and general freight across Mareeba and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MC licence.
• Proven commercial driving experience in local or metro deliveries.
• Safe driving record and current driving history on request.
• Experience with refrigerated or cold-chain transport is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers.
• Reverse B-doubles and singles in the yard.
• Deliver refrigerated freight across Mareeba and surrounding areas.
• Ensure freight is delivered safely, on time, and at the correct temperature.
• Use in-cab tech to scan freight and record deliveries.
• Complete pre-starts and daily safety checks.
• Follow road laws and depot safety procedures.
• Provide friendly customer service and work with depot teams.

What You'll Do

• Driving the Tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers
• Reversing B-Doubles and Singles in the yard

What You'll Bring

• Current MC licence
• Proven commercial driving experience (local or metro delivery experience is a bonus)
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful, but not essential
• A safe driving record (current driving history report required)
• A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, on time and take pride in your vehicle and your work
