Job summary

HXC Contracting Co Pty Ltd in South East Queensland is seeking an experienced driller for civil and commercial concrete sleeper retaining-wall projects. You will operate Kobelco excavators with Auger Torque equipment in a dedicated drilling role, drilling piers and following set-out to exact tolerances.

The role is casual, Monday–Friday with early starts, around 45 hours per week, and pay is based on experience plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Excavator ticket or recognised statement of attainment is required.
• Proven excavator operating competency and hydraulic auger drilling experience.
• Clear communication and safe work practices on site.
• Construction White Card and a valid driver licence with reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Drill piers to the specified position, diameter, depth and vertical tolerance.
• Follow supplied set-out and raise discrepancies before drilling.
• Adjust drilling technique to suit soil, fill and rock conditions.
• Manage spoil and site access to keep the crew moving.
• Complete pre-starts, basic drilling records and report faults.
