Job summary

Recon Civil is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a civil construction project in the Melton region. This casual position offers day shift hours, Monday to Friday, with approximately 2-3 months of work.

You will operate a range of diggers including 15T and 13-25T machines, with auger drilling and concrete pipelaying tasks. A current white card and Australian driver's licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Current white card and Australian Driver's Licence is required.
• 3+ years operating experience in Civil projects including detailed trim proficiency; auger pier hole drilling experience and concrete pipelaying experience.
• Experience operating multiple diggers including 15T excavator with auger drill, 13-25T excavator lifting, 12T rubber ducky type excavator.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators on civil construction projects.
• Assist with general ground work and Labouring when machine work is not required.
• Maintain safety and communicate effectively with the team.

Job description

$46.00 per hour + overtime penalty rates

What You Have:

• Current white card and Australian's Drivers Licence
• 3+ years operating experience in Civil projects including Detailed trim proficiency; Auger pier hole drilling experience and Concrete Pipelaying experience
• Experience operating numerous diggers including 15T excavator with auger drill, 13-25T excavator lifting, 12T “rubber ducky” type excavator (wheeled)
• HR truck license is advantageous
• Able to assist with general work on the ground/labouring when there isn’t machine work to do
• Within reasonable travelling distance from Melton (no travel or relocation allowance applies)
• Reliable, strong work ethic and good communication
