Job summary

Exact Contracting Services Pty Ltd is seeking experienced, reliable Drainers for FIFO projects located in remote Australia. The position is full-time with a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster and 12 hour day shifts.

Offered are competitive rates of $100,000–$105,000 P/A, flights to site, camp accommodation and meals, plus an annual retention bonus up to $3,000. HR Licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Drainage qualification (Cert II) or 3+ years drainage experience.
• HR Licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Install below-ground drainage including sewer, water mains, stormwater and utilities.
• Read and understand plans, drawings and specs.
• Mark trench positions and set levels to line, depth and grade with machinery.
• Measure, cut and join pipes to spec.
• Test installed drainage systems.
• Order valves and pipe fittings to spec in a timely manner.

The successful candidates will possess the following:

• A relevant Drainage qualification (Cert II) or have at least 3 years of relevant experience; and
• Drivers licence - HR Licence desirable but not essential.

The successful candidates will have experience in the following:

• Installation of below ground drainage; sewer, water mains, stormwater and utilities;
• Reading and understanding plans, drawings and specifications;
• Marking out trench positions;
• Level to line, depth and grade with the assistance of machinery;
• Measuring, cutting and joining pipes;
• Testing installed drainage systems; and
• Timely ordering of required valves, pipe fitting to specification.

Pre-Employment:

All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance (within 3 months), pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.
