Job summary

DCV Plant and Civil in Western Sydney is seeking a skilled Drainer to join our team. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing underground drainage systems for civil construction projects across roads and infrastructure.

Key duties include reading plans, setting out drainage, laying pipes, installing stormwater and sewer drainage, testing for leaks and faults, and completing backfilling and reinstatement. Must have White Card and civil site experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage installation and repair on civil construction sites.
• Ability to interpret drainage plans and specifications.
• Current licences/registrations required for the work undertaken.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities

DCV Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled and reliable Drainer to join our team in Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing underground drainage systems for civil construction projects, including roads and other infrastructure works. This role requires strong practical drainage skills, attention to detail and the ability to work safely in an outdoor construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings and drainage specifications.
• Set out drainage systems, ensuring correct pipe alignment, levels and gradients.
• Prepare trenches and lay, join and secure drainage pipes.
• Install stormwater and sewerage drainage systems, pits and associated fittings.
• Inspect and test drainage systems to identify leaks, blockages and other faults.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes and drainage components.
• Complete backfilling and site reinstatement in accordance with project requirements.
• Work with supervisors, plant operators and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.

About you

• Relevant qualifications and practical experience in drainage installation and repair.
• Current licences or registrations required for the work undertaken.
