Job summary

AES Equipment Solutions in Perth is seeking a Draftsperson to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and specifications for water trucks, service vehicles, and body-building components.

You will review designs for accuracy, collaborate with Operations, Production and Engineering teams, and apply industry best practices while ensuring compliance with Australian standards. A relevant qualification and a valid Australian driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Drafting experience with 2D/3D drawings and CAD tools.
• Experience in welding manufacturing processes.
• Ability to collaborate across Operations, Production, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and technical specifications for water trucks, service vehicles, and body-building components
• Review and revise designs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, and Engineering teams to translate project requirements into practical design solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies into designs
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian standards and manufacturing requirements

In this role you will be responsible for:

What we are looking for

• Australian Drivers Licence
• Relevant degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or drafting
• Experience in a body building / equipment manufacturing business
• In-depth knowledge of welding manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles
• Ability to work collaboratively in team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues across multiple departments
