AES Equipment Solutions in Perth metro is seeking a Leading Hand to support scheduled maintenance and diagnostics on mining equipment, while motivating and inspiring the workshop team to perform at their best.

You will lead a multi-skilled workshop crew, provide technical guidance, mentor apprentices, and oversee rebuilds and repairs of heavy earthmoving equipment in a safety-focused environment.

Competenze

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing workshop.
• Mentor and develop apprentices to build skills.
• Strong safety culture with knowledge of WorkSafe regulations.
• Ability to work autonomously in a busy workshop.
• Experience rebuilding and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment.

As a Leading Hand with AES, you’ll support scheduled maintenanceand diagnostics on mining equipment, while motivating and inspiringthe workshop team to perform at their best. Communication is key,as you’ll work closely with managers, staff and contractors toensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of multi-skilled personnel in a safe andcost-effective manner


• Day-to-day activities of workshop personnel


• Technical support and guidance


• Mentoring apprentices and leading by example for allstaff


• Rebuilds and repairs on a wide range of heavymachinery


• Diagnosis, maintenance and repair of large earthmoving andassociated equipment


• Problem solve and manage conflicting priorities

What we are looking for:

• Australian Manual Drivers Licence


• Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate


• Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturingworkshop environment


• Strong safety focus with a working knowledge of WorkSaferegulations


• Ability to work autonomously


• Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, WAH,Crane, etc
