Job summary

AES Equipment Solutions in Perth is seeking a Leading Hand to supervise a workshop team and support maintenance and diagnostics of mining equipment. You will engage with managers, staff and contractors to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.

The role offers a permanent full-time or casual contract, with Mon-Fri metro-based schedule and a leading hand allowance. A loyalty bonus, referral bonuses, onsite parking and several employee discounts are included.

Qualifications

• Relevant leadership experience in a manufacturing workshop environment.
• Australian/NZ recognised trade certificate or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence (Australian Manual).
• Tickets: Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, WAH, Crane, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of multi-skilled personnel in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Oversee day-to-day workshop activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance.
• Mentor apprentices and lead by example for all staff.
• Rebuilds and repairs on heavymachinery.
• Diagnosis, maintenance and repair of earthmoving equipment.
• Manage priorities and solve problems.

As a Leading Hand with AES, you’ll support scheduled maintenanceand diagnostics on mining equipment, while motivating and inspiringthe workshop team to perform at their best. Communication is key,as you’ll work closely with managers, staff and contractors toensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.

In this role you will be responsible for:

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturingworkshop environment
• Strong safety focus with a working knowledge of WorkSaferegulations
• Ability to work autonomously
• Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, WAH,Crane, etc
