Job summary

AES Equipment Solutions seeks a Supervisor to lead a multi skilled maintenance team on a civil/mining project. This metro-based, Mon-Fri role is permanent full-time, with opportunities for growth and strong benefits.

You will mentor staff, ensure safety and productivity, and drive a safety-focused culture across the site. Key responsibilities include running prestart meetings, enforcing work plans, preparing JHAs, and implementing AES safety plans while controlling hazards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil or mining sectors.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor in civil/mining.
• Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate.
• S26 Statutory Supervisor Training (desired).
• Experience managing groups of tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work plans for the job are followed.
• Conduct formal daily workplace inspections with follow-up actions.
• Assist in identification of the need for and preparation of JHAs and work procedures.
• Run daily prestart meetings to discuss issues including work procedures, JHA requirements, incidents, near misses, hazards identified, employee concerns and job progress.
• Ensure all employees are informed of hazards in their work areas and activities as they become known.
• Ensure that the AES safety management plan for the task at hand is implemented and complied with.
• Receives hazard reports from personnel and actively controls the hazard.
• Actively encourages site OH&S targets to be met.
• Perform any additional tasks as directed which are within your skill, qualification and competence level.

What we are looking for:
