Job summary

W3Global in Hobart seeks an Engineering Drafter to create and revise technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor, liaise with customers and the sales team to define project requirements.

You will manage offshore draftsmanship, assist the fabrication team with production issues, and support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering Drafting, Mechanical Eng or related.
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Australian work rights to work permanently in Australia.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage other draftsmen and priorities.
• Proactive, positive, team-oriented approach.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing environments (desirable).
• Knowledge of CNC routing, welding, or manufacturing processes (desirable).

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Australian work rights with the ability to work permanently in Australia
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage other draftsmen, and multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines
• A proactive, positive, and team-oriented approach
• Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments (desirable)
