St Mary’s Catholic College, Woree, Cairns QLD, is seeking a Diverse Learning Officer to provide pastoral and learning support under teacher direction. The role supports students with diverse needs, including EAL, mobility impairments, and cultural education programs, within a Catholic education environment.

This term-time permanent position (31 hours) offers a daily hourly rate between AUD 34.17 and 35.62 plus 12.75% employer superannuation and various entitlements.

Formación

• Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
• Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
• Work in classrooms with teachers providing support for students.
• Assist students to engage in learning and assessment as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Liaise with teachers to determine the progress and well-being of students at the College.
• Support students with a variety of diverse needs including cognitive, sensory, and physical needs as well as English as an additional language learners.
• Support mobility impaired students.
• Assist the coordination and promotion of cultural education events, activities and programs within the College community.
• Operate audio-visual aids, duplicating, issuing learning materials and clerical duties.
• Be part of a team of educators committed to excellence.
