St Mary’s Catholic College, Woree, Cairns invites applications for a Diverse Learning Officer. This role provides pastoral and learning support to students, assisting teachers and students across the school environment.

First Nations applicants are encouraged to apply. Under the direction of teaching staff, you will support student engagement, wellbeing, and learning needs, including those with English as an additional language, mobility challenges, and diverse cognitive or sensory requirements.

Competenze

• Must hold a Working with Children Blue Card and be supportive of Catholic Education ethos.
• Experience providing pastoral and learning support in a school setting.

Mansioni

• Maintain appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
• Work in classrooms with teachers providing support for students.
• Assist students to engage in learning and assessment as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Liaise with teachers to determine the progress and well-being of students.
• Support students with diverse needs including cognitive, sensory, and physical needs.
