Job summary

Port Stephens Council seeks an experienced Natural Disaster Recovery Project Manager to lead critical capital works, emergency restoration and resilience projects. You will manage specialised consultants and contractors to rebuild and future-proof our community assets, from initial damage assessment to final handover, while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

You’ll bringCivil Engineering credentials and broad PM experience, with a focus on civil infrastructure, roads and drainage.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent with extensive project management experience.
• Experience in contract management, design or construction is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead council's capital works, emergency restoration and resilience projects from damage assessment to handover.
• Coordinate and supervise consultants and contractors to rebuild and future-proof community assets.
• Ensure compliance with safety laws and industry standards across projects.
