Job summary

Port Stephens Council is seeking a Civil Investigations Officer to provide technical support, assessment and advice to the civil assets team. The role focuses on investigating, analysing and resolving infrastructure problems across pavements, drainage and related assets.

You will project manage operational sites for minor technical projects, specialist maintenance and investigations, ensuring effective liaison with utility companies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Civil Construction or equivalent, combined with extensive experience in a related field.
• Experience with investigating, analysing and resolving complex infrastructure problems.
• Geometric and pavement road design, drainage design, construction/maintenance processes and construction methodology knowledge.
• Project and contractor management skills.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, assessment and advice to Council’s civil assets team.
• Investigate, analyse and resolve infrastructure problems.
