Job summary

Public Sector People is seeking a Project Manager – Capital Works and Civil Infrastructure to lead a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects from planning through to completion in Sydney, NSW.

You will oversee design management, procurement, contracts, and delivery, ensuring projects meet time and budget targets while upholding high standards and strong community benefits for the Council.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, or related field.
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects through design and construction phases.
• End-to-end project delivery experience including construction management.
• Strong procurement and contract administration experience.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence and White Card.

Project Manager - Capital Works and Civil Infrastructure

About the Role:
As Project Manager – Capital Works, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. The portfolio includes buildings, public domain upgrades, town centre revitalisation, streetscapes, parks, roads, stormwater, and other public assets.
You will manage the full project lifecycle, including design management, procurement, contract administration, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Council frameworks.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, or related field
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects through design and construction phases
