Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking an experienced Team Leader to guide a team of Disability Support Workers in our Manly SIL home. You will foster a person-centred culture and oversee daily operations, rosters, and resident care.

This permanent, full-time onsite role runs Monday to Friday with on-call rotation and occasional site coverage. NSW drivers license and checks are required; we value flexibility and values-led leadership.

About the role

Our Manly Supported Independent Living (SIL) home is seeking an experienced and values‑led Team Leader to guide a dedicated team of Disability Support Workers. You’ll foster a positive, person‑centred culture while supporting residents through high‑quality, holistic care in an established and stable service.

In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations, develop meaningful program schedules, manage client needs, support staff, coordinate rosters, and maintain the property. You’ll also provide direct support to residents, ensuring safe, consistent and person‑centred care.

This is a permanent fulltime, onsite position working Monday to Friday. You’ll join the rotating on‑call roster when required and may occasionally support other CatholicCare sites. Flexibility with start and finish times is essential.

Duties

• Management: Lead, inspire, coach and mentor a team of Disability Support Workers to implement Person Centered Supports, underpinned by our policies and procedures.


• Training: Ensure our Disability Support Workers are onboard and trained to provide outstanding care to our participants.


• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and confidently, building strong, positive relationships with all stakeholders through clear and supportive interactions.


• Engaged: Bring your hands on approach in providing care and support to our participants and align their needs with a person-centered plan that has been created for and by the participant.


• Operations: You will have the full wrap around support of the different departments at head office as you work together to ensure the SIL remains compliant with audits, reporting, finances, and roster management as well as performance management.

Mandatory Requirements

• NSW Drivers Licence and access to an insured vehicle.


• A current Working With Children’s Check.


• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.


• NDIS workers check.


• Completion of NDIS worker orientation module.

Requirements

• Experience leading a Supported Independent Living (SIL) program, including managing rosters of care and master rosters.


• An understanding, and ability, to work from the perspective of Unconditional Positive Regard with our clients, staff, and stakeholders.


• Proven ability to lead, develop a team, and foster teamwork.


• Clear understanding of what holistic Person-Centred supports look like, how to implement these and deliver to the highest possible standard


• Tertiary qualifications in appropriate areas are desirable.
