Job summary

Carehero is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to assist a client with spinal cord injury in their Glen Waverley home. You will provide daily living support, personal care and mobility assistance, while maintaining dignity and safety.

Ideal candidates hold First Aid/CPR, NDIS and Working with Children checks, and a valid Australian Driver's Licence. Morning and evening shifts available with ongoing skill development and support.

Qualifications

• Experience providing manual handling, personal care and daily living support.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• NDIS worker screening and Working with Children checks.
• Australian Driver's Licence.
• Excellent communication, patience, and teamwork.
• Certificate III/IV in Disability or Aged Care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home disability support with morning and evening shifts.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities and mobility.
• Maintain a respectful, safe and empowering environment for the client.
• Document care activities and communicate with supervisors.

About the role

Our client with a Spinal Cord Injury is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join their team for the long run. Your skills in manual handling, personal care, and daily living support will play a vital role in supporting the client’s day to day while fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

The client’s is highly active with ambition life goals, and we are looking for people with a positive attitude and high standards of work ethic to join our team.

Our client requires support in the home, with a variety of Morning and Evening Shifts available.

About you

To join our team, you will have the following skills and experience:

Comfortable & Experienced with Bowel Care

First Aid & CPR Certificate

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Working with Children's Check

Cert 3 or 4 in Disability, Aged or Community

Australian Driver's License

You are a great communicator, patient, respectful and have extensive experience with Manual Handling and be able to work within an amazing team of experienced and passionate people.
