Job summary

The Companion Group is seeking caring, motivated individuals to join our disability support team in Geelong. This casual position offers shifts ranging from 2 to 10 hours, with rosters up to three shifts per day and flexible scheduling to fit various lifestyles.

Pay rates start at $46.70/hr for 1 year of experience and rise to $49.41/hr with 2+ years. We value empathy, reliability, and a proactive approach to care and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid certificate.
• Victorian driver’s license and registered car with comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working with Children Check.
• NDIS Orientation Module (or willingness to complete before starting).

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with daily living tasks including showering, dressing, and meals.
• Support participants with community activities such as shopping, appointments, and exercise.
• Implement behavioural, speech therapy, and occupational therapy strategies under specialist direction.
• Monitor and report on participant wellbeing and goals.
• Complete rostering and administrative tasks via our digital platforms.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a casual position, shifts range from 2 to 10 hours depending on participant needs
You may be rostered for up to 3 shifts in a single day
We offer flexible scheduling to suit a variety of lifestyles, whether you are looking for supplementary income or a more regular roster

PAY RATES

• 1 year of experience: $46.70/hr
• 2+ years of experience: $49.41/hr

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our participants with current vacancies are looking for candidates that fit one or many of the following criteria:

• Males and Females
• Experience working in SIL homes
• Experience working with children
• Availability to start shifts as early as 7am

We also value:

• Previous experience supporting people with disability
• Experience monitoring and reporting on wellbeing goals and strategies
• A proactive and innovative approach to care
• Certificate in Disability or Mental Health (desirable)
