Carehero is seeking compassionate carers to support a three-year-old child with a rare genetic condition that causes seizures and sleep disturbances. The role requires staying with the child in their home, day and night, and delivering high-quality, attentive care.

You will need relevant certifications, a reliable, patient and positive attitude, and the ability to work with families and other carers. We offer Above Award pay, ongoing support, and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children, preferably in home settings.
• Strong communication and reliability.
• Ability to work across day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 in-home care for a child with seizures and sleep disturbance.
• Follow care plans with high standards of safety and compassion.
• Collaborate with family and other carers to ensure consistent support.

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and skilled carers to support a three-year-old child with a rare genetic condition that causes seizures, developmental delays, and severe sleep disturbances. She requires a high level of care throughout the day and overnight.

The client and family are highly reliant on support and are looking for people with a positive attitude, high standards of work ethic and are highly engaged.

Our client requires 24/7 support in the home, with a variety of shifts available.

About you

To join our team, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Manual Handling Certificate (Highly desirable)
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
• Cert 3 or 4 in Disability, Aged or Community
• Australian Driver's License

You are a great communicator, reliable, patient, respectful and have worked with children previously in a home environment.
