Job summary

Kangaroo Care provides a range of NDIS services designed to support people with complex mental health needs and disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to assist a participant with complex physical, neurological, and mental health needs in Annerley, Lawnton, Heathwood, Redland Bay.

You will deliver high-quality, person-centred support, assist with personal care, community outings, and emotional companionship, while maintaining safety, dignity, and overall quality

Qualifications

• Native English speaker preferred.
• Female candidates aged 20–30 years (participant preference).
• Knowledge and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices.
• High-level empathy, patience, and compassion.
• Ability to stay calm and responsive during escalations and behavioural concerns.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Driver's license and reliable transport.

About the Role - URGENT

We are currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable female Disability Support Worker to support a participant with complex physical, neurological, and mental health needs .

This position involves providing high levels of individualised support in a person-centred environment. It requires strong manual-handling skills and a trauma-informed approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to empowering participants while safeguarding their safety, dignity, and overall quality of life. Applicants whose first language is English are preferred.

Location : Annerley , Lawnton, Heathwood, Redland bay

Requirements

• Native English speakers preferred (as per participant preference)
• Female candidates only - 20 to 30 years old(participant's personal preference)
• Knowledge and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices
• High-level empathy, patience, and compassion
• Ability to remain calm and responsive during escalations and behavioural concerns.
• First Aid and CPR (Restrictive practice training is a plus)
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Driver's license and reliable transport - must own a suitable vehicle.
