About the Role - URGENT

We are currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable female Disability Support Worker to support a participant with complex physical, neurological, and mental health needs .

This position involves providing high levels of individualised support in a person-centred environment. It requires strong manual-handling skills and a trauma-informed approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to empowering participants while safeguarding their safety, dignity, and overall quality of life. Applicants whose first language is English are preferred.

Location : Annerley , Lawnton, Heathwood, Redland bay

Key Responsibilities

• Support personal care with warmth, patience and total respect for dignity.
• Open up the community - outings, appointments, activities and everyday adventures.
• Offer real companionship and steady emotional support.
• Keep clear, accurate records and flag any concerns early to the team.

Requirements

• Native English speakers preferred (as per participant preference)
• Female candidates only - 20 to 30 years old(participant’s personal preference)
• Knowledge and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices
• High-level empathy, patience, and compassion
• Ability to remain calm and responsive during escalations and behavioural concerns.
• First Aid and CPR (Restrictive practice training is a plus)
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Driver’s license and reliable transport - must own a suitable vehicle.
