Job summary

St Jude's Health Care Group is seeking a Disability Support Worker to support clients in accommodation, helping them achieve daily goals and independence within the NDIS framework. You will build strong relationships, assist with living activities, and support community participation in Redbank Plains and surrounding areas.

The role emphasizes person-centred care, interpersonal collaboration, and flexible availability for training at Bethania.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card / QLD Working with Children Check.
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Proof of working rights (passport or valid visa).
• Previous experience as a support worker or a relevant Certificate III (desirable).
• Previous experience supporting clients with mental health needs (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily living activities including personal care, dressing, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Deliver tailored support to clients with psychosocial needs
• Assist with social outings, shopping, and appointments
• Liaise with families and client representatives as required
• Promote positive behaviours, skill development, and meaningful learning experiences
