Job summary

St Jude's Health Care Group is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our Accommodation team in Rivervale. You will work with residents within our accommodation services, delivering person-centred care under the NDIS funding framework to help clients gain independence and participate in the community.

The role is permanent and part-time across Rivervale and surrounding suburbs. We value compassionate, adaptable team players who can form meaningful relationships with clients and coordinate

Qualifications

• Must possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and WA Working with Children Check.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Proof of working rights (passport or valid visa).
• Experience with clients who have mental health issues is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance with ADL’s such as toileting, showering, dressing, cooking and cleaning
• Providing individual support to clients with psychosocial requirements
• Assisting clients with social outings, shopping trips and appointments
• Liaising with the families and representatives of your client as required
• Promoting positive behaviours, learning experiences and skill development
