Job summary

St Jude's Health Care Group in Griffin is seeking a Disability Support Worker to assist clients in supported accommodation. You will build professional relationships, support independence, participate in community activities, and help with daily living tasks within the NDIS framework.

This permanent part-time role requires a valid driver's licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check/Blue Card, and flexibility to travel to Bethania for mandatory paid training.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card / QLD Working with Children Check.
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Proof of working rights (passport or valid visa).
• Previous experience as a support worker or a relevant Certificate III (desirable).
• Previous experience supporting clients with mental health needs (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily living activities including personal care, dressing, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Deliver tailored support to clients with psychosocial needs.
• Assist with social outings, shopping, and appointments.
• Liaise with families and client representatives as required.
• Promote positive behaviours, skill development, and meaningful learning experiences.
