Job summary

KB Care Disability Support in Brisbane is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team across North Brisbane locations. In this role you provide hands-on support to clients in their homes and the community, helping them live safely and independently and thrive with person-centered care.

You will work with clients with various disabilities, assist with daily tasks, meals, home chores, and community activities, and ensure a clean, safe environment aligned with individual care

Qualifications

• You are an empathetic, caring individual with a passion for helping others.
• Experience in disability support or similar roles is advantageous.
• Commitment to person-centered care and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities.
• Assisting with household tasks such as shopping, meals, and cleaning.
• Helping with daily activities like showering, dressing, toileting, and medication management.
• Supporting clients to engage in community activities and social opportunities.
• Ensuring the home is clean, safe, and aligned with care plans for wellbeing.
• Delivering support tailored to each client’s individual needs.
• Must have availability for some weekends and sleepovers.

• Ensure the home environment is clean, safe, and healthy, following care plans to promote overall well‑being.
• Ensuring delivered support is according to each client’s individual needs.
• Must have availability for some weekends and sleepovers
