Job summary

Supported Care is seeking casual Support Workers to assist clients across Brisbane, including North and South Brisbane. You will help people living with mental health and psychosocial disabilities build confidence, independence and enjoy meaningful daily activities.

Casual roles offer variety and the chance to form genuine connections while supporting participants with practical tasks, personal care and community access.

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence and access to reliable transport.
• Weekday availability, including early shifts.
• Experience with mental health or challenging behaviours is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, patient and able to build trust with people.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support based on each customer's needs and support plan.
• Support participants with community access, appointments and daily activities.
• Assist with domestic duties, meal preparation and budgeting.
• Support with personal care when required.
• Assist with medication administration in line with training and support plans.
• Provide calm and respectful support when managing challenging behaviours.
• Build positive, professional relationships with participants.

About You

• Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Weekday availability, including early morning shifts from 6–7 AM onwards
• Comfortable working across North and South Brisbane, Clayfield and Greenslopes Houses
• Mental health and challenging behaviour experience is preferred, but not essential
• Passionate about supporting people with different levels of independence and varying support needs
• Compassionate, patient and able to build trust with people
• Reliable, respectful and willing to learn
• Able to stay calm, think on your feet and problem-solve
