Job summary

SILC (Supporting Independent Living Co-operative) in Denistone NSW is seeking Disability Support Workers to join our SIL team. You will support three young adults with Level 3 autism, assisting with daily living, meals, and community activities while promoting independence and meaningful community participation.

The role involves sleepover shifts, rostered days, and ensuring safety, confidentiality and adherence to NDIS requirements. A driver’s license and first aid/CPR are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support and person-centred care preferred.
• Knowledge of NDIS requirements and safeguarding.
• First aid/CPR and relevant checks are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised, person-centred support in line with each resident's support plan.
• Assist with daily living routines, meals and household chores.
• Support residents' communication, independence and social participation.
• Follow behaviour support plans and safety procedures for distress or behaviours of concern.
• Complete accurate progress notes, handovers and incident reports.
