Job summary

Path to Independence is a Queensland-based NDIS provider seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for SIL Accommodation Services. You will provide one-to-one or two-to-one support to participants with psychosocial and physical disabilities, helping with daily living skills, community engagement, and independence in a 24/7 roster environment.

The role requires empathy, trauma-informed care, strong communication, and a commitment to participant dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health care and trauma-informed practice.
• Ability to work 24/7 rotating roster in SIL settings.
• Strong communication with participants, families and carers.

Responsibilities

• Work with complex care needs and moderate to high challenging behaviours.
• Provide intensive daily support to participants.
• Administer personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming).
• Carry out domestic cleaning and light gardening duties.
• Complete shift reports, progress reports and incident reporting.
