Job summary

Australian Disability Care Services Pty Ltd in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking experienced NDIS Support Workers to provide personalised care and support in clients' homes and community settings.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering a range of services to help participants live independently, engage in community activities and pursue meaningful opportunities. The role requires empathy, patience, and strong communication with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in disability support or aged care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy and person-centered care.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates, NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC), Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Desirable: Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Ability to drive and hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care and support with dignity.
• Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meals, light housekeeping).
• Engage clients in recreational and social activities to promote independence.
• Communicate with clients, families and care team for coordinated care.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering a range of services aimed at helping participants live independently, actively participate in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing personalized care and support to clients with varying disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and dignity
• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Engaging clients in recreational and social activities to promote their well-being and independence
• Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and the broader care team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a similar disability support or aged care role, with a genuine passion for making a positive difference in people's lives
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Patience, empathy, and a person-centered approach to care
• A current First Aid, CPR certificate, NDIS WC, WWCC.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, are highly desirable
• Ability to drive house vehicles (Sedan, MPV) and a Valid Australian Drivers License.
