Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Sydney is seeking a compassionate Supported Independent Living (SIL) worker based at Bondi Junction to help two women live independently in a shared home. You will build independence, support daily routines and encourage community participation with a positive, energetic approach.

Join our SIL team on a permanent part-time basis to assist with daily living tasks, medication support, transport and community access.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

About the Role

Based in Bondi Junction, you will support two women to live independently and confidently in a shared home. This role is focused on building independence, supporting daily routines, and encouraging participation in the community. To provide the best support, you'll be a positive, energetic person who can build strong relationships, take initiative, and remain confident whilst working independently.

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part-time basis, you will support people with disability in their home, providing assistance with daily living tasks, medication support, transport, and community access. Both clients are active in their local community through work and day programs, so you'll play a key role in helping them maintain their independence and achieve their goals.

A current driver's licence is essential, as the role involves transporting customers using either your own vehicle or a company van.

You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster. The successful candidates must be able to commit to theset roster line below:

• 49.5 hours per fortnight:

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with people with psychosocial disability or mental health concerns
• Previous experience working with behaviour support plans

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
