Job summary

CPL - Choice, Passion, Life in Cairns is seeking casual and permanent part-time Support Workers to help people live independently in Cairns and surrounding suburbs. If you’ve done this before or you are new and passionate, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll assist with meals, daily tasks, community outings, appointments, medication support and mobility assistance in a respectful, person‑centred team. Training provided; flexible roster to suit availability.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain)
• Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check assistance available
• Driver’s licence and/or reliable transport

Responsibilities

• Help with meals, cleaning and daily tasks
• Support someone to live independently and engage in community activities
• Attend appointments or social activities with clients
• Provide medication support as needed
• Assist with mobility and transfers (including hoists where required)

What you will be doing

No two days are the same — you’ll be supporting people to live independently and do the things that matter to them.

This could include:

• Helping with meals, cleaning and daily tasks
• Supporting someone to get out into the community
• Attending appointments or social activities
• Medication support
• Assisting with mobility (including hoists where required)
