Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is hiring a Disability Support Worker to join our SIL home in Banya. You will provide person-centred support to people with disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible.

The role includes a permanent roster with sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, and weekends, enabling time for study or other commitments. We value calm, compassionate, and professional candidates who can build trusting relationships, promote safety, and support daily

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
• Ability to assist with personal care and daily living tasks while maintaining safety and respect.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Help people achieve NDIS goals by building daily living skills (housekeeping, personal care, budgeting).
• Assist with personal care as required to meet individual needs.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and community outings to promote social engagement.
• Provide support during daily activities and accompany appointments or events.
• Help maintain connections with family, friends and services.

Join #Teampossible!We have multiple permanent roster lines available across our SIL homes in Banya, offering 35–40-hour fortnightly contracts consisting of sleepover shifts, (minimum 3 and up to 5 per Fortnight) with some day shifts. Enjoy a variety of supports to allow time for study, family time, or other commitments, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts where available.

Make an impact at Endeavour Foundation!Working within our?SIL?(Supported Independent Living) home in Banya,?you will provide support, assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, whether they have complex needs or just need some additional support at home. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation, you will see it in action!

Other Key Duties Will Include

• Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
• Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.
• Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
• Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern. You will be confident providing personal care and supporting daily living tasks while creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to challenging situations, and build trusting relationships is essential for success in this role.

We Also Require

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Availability to work a permanent roster line that may include multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and active overnight supports.
• Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
