Job summary

Ausadvent Care in Queensland is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling, independent lives. You will assist with daily living, foster inclusion, and work with families and care teams.

A valid Australian driver’s license and certifications such as First Aid/CPR, NDIS Orientation, WWCC/Blue Card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to help people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
• Valid Australian driver's license and access to reliable transportation may be required.
• First Aid and CPR Certifications, NDIS Orientation, WWCC/Blue Card held up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care according to individual care plans.
• Assist with Daily Living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals).
• Foster a respectful, inclusive environment promoting dignity and autonomy.
• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities for community integration.
• Administer medication and monitor health conditions as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family, and other support workers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and Daily Shift Reports; report incidents.
• Transport participants as needed during shifts.
