Job summary

Unidex Healthcare in Tamworth NSW is seeking a casual, ongoing disability support worker for a 28-year-old female with a spinal cord injury. ASAP start with a quick meet-and-greet prior to commencement. Duties include dressing, grooming, meal prep and supporting community access.

A driver's license is MUST HAVE, with potential weekend shifts. Current roster includes Friday 6:30PM-8:30PM, Saturday 7:00AM-9:00AM and 6:30PM-8:30PM, plus possible additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with spinal cord injuries, brain injury or other high complex care participants.
• Experience with manual handling is required.
• Australian Driver License & motor vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Orientation and background checks completed.

Responsibilities

• Dressing, grooming and hygiene support.
• Meal preparations and feeding assistance.
• Community access and mobility with driver license required.

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

Our participant is a 28-year-old female who lives in Tamworth NSW, he has a spinal cord injury.

This role is on a casual, on-going basis and will commence ASAP.

A quick meet and greet with our participant will be required prior to commencement.

Requirements:

Due to the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have prior experience working with complex care clients - which includes experience with or willing to learn:

• Dressing/grooming/hygiene
• Meal preparations
• Community access MUST HAVE A DRIVERS LICENCE

Current Roster:

FRIDAY: 6:30PM - 8:30PM (2)

SATURDAY: 7:00AM - 9:00AM (2)

SATURDAY: 6:30PM - 8:30PM (2)

+ POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL SHIFTS ON THE WEEKENDS

Pay Rates

• Day Shift - $38.75 p/h
• Afternoon Shift - $42.62 p/h
• Saturday Shift - $54.25 p/h
• Sunday Shift - $69.75 p/h

Skills & Experiences:

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent
• Experience with spinal cord injuries / brain injury or other high complex care participants

• Experience with bowel therapy OR willing to learn
• Experience with manual handling
• Australian Driver License & motor vehicle
• Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months of issue)
• Current Working with Children's Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
