Job summary

Unidex Healthcare is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to partner with a participant in Hervey Bay. Roles require reliability, flexibility and onsite training. Eligible applicants will hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care and related certifications, with a 24/7 roster including inactive night shifts.

Shifts vary 7:30am–4pm, 6:30pm–8:30pm, plus 4pm–9:30am; a high level of empathy and communication is essential for rehabilitation support and daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• A valid Australian Driver Licence is required.
• Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (essential).
• HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication certificate is required.
• Current National Police Clearance within the last 12 months.
• First Aid and CPR certificates current.
• Current Yellow Card.
• Current Blue Card.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module.

Responsibilities

• Bowel therapy.
• Medication administration.
• Rehabilitation assistance, including assisting with exercise and stretching regimes.
• Following Allied Health recommendations.
• Assistance with personal care.
• Assistance with domestic tasks.
• Manual handling, including turning and hoist transfers.

The Role:

Unidex Healthcare are seeking experienced, compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to partner with a participant based in Hervey Bay. Experience is highly regarded, with onsite training also provided. Reliability and flexibility are required.

Rates:

From $39.25 day rate

Shifts:

7:30am-4pm, 6:30pm-8:30pm and

4pm - 9:30am (includes an inactive nigh shift component 10pm-6am)

Must be available for flexible shift allocations on a 24/7 roster, including inactive nights.
