Job summary

Unidex Healthcare looks for a dedicated care support worker to assist a middle‑aged male with a spinal cord injury and hypoxic brain injury, 24/7. You will perform transfers, shower assistance, meal prep, and help with community access while ensuring safety and dignity.

Role requires complex care experience, valid checks, and full Australian working rights; training in bowel and catheter care is provided. Sleepover shifts and flexible hours are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in bowel care, catheter care, and manual handling.

Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

Our participant is a middle aged male requiring 24/7 support suffered from a spinal cord injury and a hypoxic brain injury due to a near drowning experience. He enjoys spending time at the beach and with his dog, and has an interest in surfing and mountain hiking.

Requirements:

Due the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have experience with bowel therapy, catheter management and hoisting OR be willing to learn these skills.

SHIFTS AVALIABLE

• FLEXIBLE AVABILABLITY TO PICK UP ADDITIONTAL ONGOING SHIFTS
• WEDNESDAY: WED 4:00PM - THURS 10:00AM (SLEEPOVER REQUIRED)

4:00PM-10:00PM (active)

06:00AM-10:00AM (active)

The above listed shift is one whole shift and cannot be seperated.

Pay rates are:

• Day - $40.00 p/h
• Afternoon - $44.00 p/h
• Sat - $56.00 p/h
• Sleepover Allowance - $145.49 fixed rate
