Job summary

Unidex Healthcare is seeking a Disability Support Worker for a client in Avalon Beach, NSW. The participant is a middle-aged male requiring 24/7 support due to spinal cord and hypoxic brain injuries. The role involves hands-on personal care and complex care needs in a home environment.

Experience with spinal injuries, bowel care, catheter management, hoisting and medication administration is required. A full Australian drivers licence and willingness to work varied shifts including overnights

Qualifications

Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

We are seeking a Disability Support worker to join of our client's team located in Avalon Beach. Our participant is a middle-aged male requiring 24/7 support suffered from a spinal cord injury and a hypoxic brain injury due to a near drowning experience. The participant is very active, they enjoy going to the beach, the gym and socializing with friends.

The participant is seeking someone who has had previous experience with spinal cord injuries, this experience needs to be with supporting previously clients who have been a quadriplegic.

Requirements:

Due the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have experience with bowel therapy, catheter management and hoisting.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE

• FLEXIBLE AVABILABLITY TO PICK UP ADDITIONTAL ONGOING SHIFTS
• WEDNESDAY: WED 4:00PM - THURS 10:00AM (SLEEPOVER REQUIRED)

4:00PM-10:10PM (active)

06:00AM-10:00AM (active)

The above listed shift is one whole shift and cannot be separated.

Pay rates are:

• Day - $40.00 p/h
• Afternoon - $44.00 p/h
• Saturday - $56.00 p/h
• Sunday - $72.00 p/h
• Sleepover Allowance - $145.49 fixed rate
