Job summary

Oasis Living Solutions Pty Ltd is hiring Disability Support Workers to assist participants in Supported Independent Living homes and the community. You will help clients achieve goals, build independence, and participate locally.

The role suits compassionate individuals dedicated to making a real difference in others’ lives. We offer supportive leadership, ongoing training and flexible rosters across SIL, Community Participation and STA services.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

Working within Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and the community, you will support participants to achieve their goals, develop independence and actively participate in their local community.

This role is suited to people who are passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred supports in accordance with individual support plans.
• Promote participant choice, dignity, independence and inclusion.
• Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and continence support.
• Assist with medication administration in accordance with training and organisational policies.
• Support participants with meal preparation, household tasks and budgeting.
• Facilitate community access, appointments, shopping and recreational activities.
• Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Risk Assessments where applicable.Accurately complete progress notes, incident reports and other documentation.
• Identify and report risks, incidents and changes in participant wellbeing.
• Maintain professional relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with House Leaders, Team Leaders and allied health professionals.
• Maintain participant confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Follow all NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies and Work Health and Safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check (where required)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
• Reliable motor vehicle
• Right to work in Australia
• Smartphone suitable for work applications

Desirable

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
• Experience working within Supported Independent Living (SIL)
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disability, autism or psychosocial disability
• Medication competency
• Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans
• Manual Handling training
• Experience with high-intensity supports
