Job summary

BlueWing is seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to assist a client in Coombabah, delivering compassionate, one-to-one care in the client’s home on a 24-hour roster.

The role emphasises maintaining client goals, privacy and dignity, and proactive, supportive engagement while adhering to NDIS codes and organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Valid NDIS Worker Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Valid Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
• Current First Aid & CPR Training
• Relevant rights to work in Australia
• Those with a certificate or experience supporting people with a disability are highly regarded.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate female Disability Support Worker to join our team supporting a client with complex health and care needs in Coombabah. This support will take place in the client's home working within a 2 staff 24-hour roster

Individual goals for this young woman are to have experienced caring and compassionate staff to support her complex care needs including medication administration, epilepsy management, enteral feeding, and assistance with minimising the impact of self-injurious behaviour and maintaining her home.

This position would suit those with a background in nursing, assistant in nursing or previous experience with complex care supports.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure clients are supported to maintain choice and control of their goals and follow individual support plans

Maintain a record of duties undertaken
