My Disability Provider seeks an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide complex in-home support to participants based in Queensland. The role offers a consistent daytime schedule, with work in a family-home setting and support for high physical and clinical needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in disability support, relevant certificates (First Aid/CPR, NDIS checks), and a client-centred approach. Queensland-based role with strong team and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV / Diploma in Disability or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ experience in a disability support role
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• NDIS Orientation Certificate
• Working with Children Check
• Police Check
• Driver’s Licence and reliable car with insurance

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide complex in-home support to participants based in Queensland.

This role offers a consistent daytime schedule, providing stability for both the participant and the support worker. The position involves working in a family-home environment and supporting participants with high physical and clinical support needs.

This role is best suited to a calm, reliable, and confident support worker with strong clinical experience and a client-centred approach.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Certificate III or IV / Diploma in Disability or other relevant qualification

• At least 3 years’ experience in a disability support role

• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• NDIS Orientation Certificate

• Working with Children Check

• Current Police Check

• Driver’s Licence and reliable car with insurance

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Personal care, including showering and hygiene support

• Medication support

• PEG feeding and meal assistance (very soft/moist foods)

• Oral and nasal suctioning (experience required)

• Mobility assistance with strong awareness of falls risk

• Domestic tasks and meal preparation

• Community access and transport

• Companionship and emotional support

• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required

• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
