Job summary

ERA Care is seeking experienced and reliable Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team, with opportunities across Brisbane’s northside and Caboolture. You’ll support participants with complex needs in a person-centred way and help them engage in meaningful experiences.

You’ll also assist with daily activities, community outings, transport, and medication support while building positive relationships with clients, families, and the ERA Care team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with disabilities in a person-centred way.
• Eligibility checks including NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification and medication assistance capability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and personal care.
• Support participants to achieve NDIs goals and engage in activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with community transport and participation in social activities.
• Administer and manage medication under supervision.
• Provide manual handling support when required.

We’re currently looking for experienced and reliable Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team, with opportunities across Brisbane’s northside and Caboolture.

This role involves supporting participants with complex needs, so we are looking for professionals who are confident and can bring demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality, person-centred support in more challenging environments.

You’ll also have the opportunity to support participants to engage in meaningful and enjoyable experiences, including community outings and activities that promote connection, confidence, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Help clients achieve their goals in line with their NDIS plan
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support clients in the community with transport and participation in social activities
• Administer and manage medication
• Manual handling assistance when needed
• Building positive relationships with clients, families, and the broader ERA Care team

What We’re Looking For

• Applicants must be willing and able to reliably travel to Brisbane’s northside and Caboolture for rostered shifts.
• A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across various shifts (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays)
• Good vibes and a variety of interests — whether it’s cats, boardgames, crafts, or just a great sense of humour — to help create meaningful and engaging experiences
• Reliable and responsive team player
• Experience with complex clients
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Blue Card
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
• Manual Handling and Medication Assistance training (or willing to obtain)
• Qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, or related field (preferred)
