Job summary

Able Australia is seeking a Disability Support Worker to assist clients in Narrabundah and Isabella Plains, ACT. You will help participants engage in activities aligned with their NDIS plans, fostering independence and meaningful relationships.

The role is casual with shifts including nights, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week. Experience in the disability sector and a valid First Aid & CPR are expected; proficiency with Outlook and client management tools is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the disability sector is essential.
• Intermediate computer skills for email, documentation, and client management tools.
• Right to work in Australia and willingness to obtain NDIS Screening Check.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to participate in activities aligned with their NDIS plans.
• Build meaningful relationships and promote independence for participants.

Title: Disability Support Worker
Location: Narrabundah and Isabella Plains, ACT
Salary: $36.22 - $39.53 per hour + super + salary packaging
Employment Type: Casual

Building meaningful relationships and promoting independence, you'll help create positive outcomes and enriching experiences for the people we support.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

• Available for a variety of shifts including nights (active nights and/or sleepovers) across Narrabundah and Isabella Plains, ACT.
• Available for a minimum 3 days per week
• Experience working in the Disability sector
• Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook, documentation in a client management tool/CRM, Carelink +).
• Right to work in Australia
• NDIS Workers Screening Check (willing to obtain)
• Valid First Aid & CPR

Highly regarded and desirable:

• A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it.
