Job summary

KANDA is seeking a Disability Support Worker in Queensland to help participants achieve personal goals, with duties including personal care, daily living tasks and community access.

You will document shift notes, support plans and maintain respectful relationships with participants and families. Sleepover shifts and a 7-day roster are typical, with opportunities for training and career pathways.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in disability support, aged care or community services.
• Confident supporting participants with complex needs / behaviours of concern.
• Strong documentation, reporting and incident-management skills
• Ability to work independently and mentor newer team members

Responsibilities

• Supporting personal care, daily living and household tasks
• Assisting with community access, social activities and employment goals
• Supporting medication prompts and health routines.
• Building positive, respectful relationships with participants and their families
• Documenting shift notes and following each participant's support plan
