Job summary

Unidex Healthcare in Queensland seeks a Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with physical, intellectual, neurological and psychosocial disabilities. You'll work in participants' homes and community settings, promoting independence and assisting with daily living activities.

Role involves personal care, medication assistance and high-intensity support, with a focus on safety, dignity and collaborative care within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or equivalent.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Availability for varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to participants with complex disabilities.
• Provide personal care and daily living assistance while following care plans.
• Support independence and community access to promote participation.
• Accurately complete progress notes and incident reports after each shift.
• Collaborate with families, nurses, allied health and coordinators to ensure consistent care.
• Maintain compliance with WHS, infection control, and organisational policies.
