Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking two Disability Support Workers for our Beacon Hill SIL home in NSW. This permanent part-time role offers about 25 hours per week across varied shifts, including mornings, days, evenings, and overnight coverage.

You will provide compassionate, person-centred support to clients with disabilities in a domestic setting, helping them live as independently as possible while respecting their choices and goals.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to person-centred care.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2).
  • Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • First Aid & CPR.
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living tasks (cooking, mealtimes, cleaning).
  • Provide personal care respectfully (showering, toileting).
  • Administer medications per care plans.
  • Support mobility with equipment (hoists).
  • Monitor wellbeing and document changes.
  • Collaborate with team to maintain a positive environment.

LocationBeacon Hill, NSW, AustraliaRole PurposeThe Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities.You will play a vital role in empowering clients to live as independently as possible, by helping them to achieve their goals and supporting their day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.About the Clients:At CPA, our SIL houses typically accommodate between 3–6 clients. Clients can range in age from their early 20s through to more mature-aged clients.Individuals living in CPA group homes may have a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, and other intellectual or physical disabilities.Clients may also present with differing levels of medical needs and behaviours, requiring varying levels of support.Role OverviewWe are looking for two dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our Accommodation and Respite service at our Beacon Hill group home.
