Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one home and community support across the North Shore region. This permanent part-time role (30 hours per week) involves day shifts from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and requires travel to group homes.

You will empower clients aged 18–80 to live independently and participate in daily activities. Responsibilities include assistance with daily living, personal care where needed, and collaboration with families and allied health

Role Purpose

The Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities.

You will play a vital role in empowering clients to live as independently as possible, by helping them to achieve their goals and supporting their day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

About the Clients:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will support clients living with a range of disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities. Some clients may also present with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

Role Overview

Join the Lifestyles Home and Community team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability. This rewarding role involves providing one-on-one home and community support to clients aged 18–80, promoting independence and helping them achieve their goals through community engagement and daily living support.

This role is based across the North Shore region, requiring travel to our group homes. The position is permanent part time (30 hours per week) and offers day shifts from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Must be available to work Monday - Friday.

You willassistwith daily living skills, social engagement, and community participation, including personal care (whererequired), manual handling, medication support (if trained),behavioursupport strategies, and 1:1 or small group support.

Each day, you will encourage independence, build skills and confidence, promote inclusion, support participant choice,facilitateactivities and outings, follow individual support plans, document progress, and work collaboratively with families and allied health professionals.
